WHY CHECKSURE – INDEPENDENT NEW-HOME INSPECTIONS?

An inspection designed to give you a clear, usable record

A useful inspection should do more than produce a long list. It should show what was visible, explain why an observation matters and help you decide what to raise next.

CheckSure focuses on clear evidence and proportionate judgement for the buyer or homeowner, producing a consistent report with priorities, precise locations and photographs.

An experienced inspector with practical housebuilding knowledge

CheckSure inspections are carried out by an experienced inspector with practical knowledge of how new homes are constructed, coordinated, completed and handed over. This helps observations to be assessed in context—not simply recorded as cosmetic imperfections—and findings to be explained clearly and proportionately.

Evidence you can use

Observations are prioritised, numbered, located precisely and supported by clear photographs. The report is arranged to make findings easier to understand, revisit and raise with the developer, contractor or warranty provider where appropriate.

A proportionate view of the home

Not every mark or movement in a new home has the same significance. CheckSure aims to distinguish potential defects from normal drying, shrinkage, seasonal adjustment or routine maintenance, so material observations remain clear without inflating minor imperfections.

Clear scope and honest limitations

The inspection is methodical and non-invasive. Areas and services are inspected only where they are accessible and can be checked safely within the agreed scope. Access restrictions, site conditions and other material limitations are recorded, and specialist assessment is recommended where an issue falls outside the inspection scope or competence. See the Terms of Business for the complete scope boundaries.

Reporting that supports the next conversation

Reports use prioritised and numbered observations, photographs, precise locations and plain-English explanations. Where appropriate, the report distinguishes observed concerns from maintenance matters, inspection limitations and items that may require specialist assessment. Subject to cleared payment, the reporting pack is normally emailed within 24 hours of the inspection. Reasonable questions about the report are welcomed after delivery.

  • Prioritised, numbered and precisely located observations
  • Photographic evidence where available
  • Material findings kept visible and easy to follow
  • Limitations and recommended next steps stated clearly
  • Optional printed copies of the report can be ordered for delivery

Three coordinated outputs

The Full Report records every applicable inspection outcome. The Action Required Report isolates Red and Amber findings so remedial work is easier to organise. The separate Developer Response Schedule gives the developer’s site or customer-care team a practical way to record acceptance, progress and close-out.

Read the Inspection Key Facts for a concise comparison of Pre-Completion, New-home Snagging, End-of-Defects and Re-snag Inspections.

Independent advice for the customer

CheckSure works for the customer named in the booking, not the developer or warranty provider. Where necessary, references to technical standards, codes or published guidance can be used to explain findings; they do not imply affiliation, endorsement or a guarantee that another party will accept an observation.

Support beyond the inspection

The Homeowner Knowledge Base and Frequently Asked Questions provide practical guidance about new-home construction, common concerns, maintenance, inspection services and the routes available for raising issues. They are designed to help homeowners make informed decisions before and after an inspection. You can also check whether your location falls within the main service area on Areas We Cover.
