CHECKSURE — INDEPENDENT NEW-HOME INSPECTIONS
Re-snag Inspection
A targeted inspection of agreed items.

A recheck list created specifically for you
A CheckSure Re-snag Inspection is built around the particular repairs, unresolved items or concerns you want checked again. Instead of applying a generic checklist, CheckSure creates a bespoke customer-specific recheck list before the booking is confirmed.
Every agreed item keeps its own reference and receives a current outcome, giving you a clear record of what appears satisfactory, what may still need attention and anything that could not be checked.
| At a glance | Detail |
|---|---|
| Best suited to | Customers who want selected repairs or concerns independently checked again. |
| Usual timing | After the relevant work or developer response is available. |
| Access | Customer or developer arranged, as agreed for the visit. |
| Scope basis | A bespoke recheck list created specifically for the customer. |
| Typical inspection time | Depends on the agreed list; a targeted Re-snag may take less time and is planned for up to four hours on site. |
| Outcome | An item-by-item record for every agreed recheck. |
Who this inspection is for
This service suits customers who want independent confirmation of selected repairs or concerns without commissioning another whole-home inspection.
Tell us what you want rechecked
The starting information can come from:
- An earlier CheckSure report.
- Another inspector’s report.
- Your own concerns or snag list.
- Notes, photographs, developer responses and other relevant information you supply.
How your bespoke recheck list is agreed
CheckSure reviews the information, identifies the items and locations to be revisited, and sends you the proposed list with the appointment and price. You can ask for changes before accepting. Once agreed, that customer-specific list controls the inspection and report.
The time required depends on the number, type and location of the agreed items. A targeted Re-snag may take less time than a whole-home inspection and is planned for up to four hours on site. If the proposed work cannot reasonably fit, CheckSure will agree a different arrangement before you commit.
What CheckSure reviews
For each agreed item, CheckSure may consider:
- The stated item and location.
- Accessible work said to have been completed.
- The current visible or ordinarily operable condition.
- Relevant new damage directly associated with the remedial work.
- Any access, safety, operation or evidence issue that prevents a reliable check.
What you receive
You receive a customer-specific three-part report pack built from your agreed Re-snag checklist:
- the Full Report, recording the current outcome for every agreed item;
- the Action Required Report, bringing together items that may still require attention; and
- the response schedule, which can be used to record the developer’s response or proposed action.
The report pack also records anything that could not be inspected and the reason why, so every agreed item remains accounted for.
The report is normally issued within 24 hours after the inspection has been completed and the undisputed balance has cleared. This is a service target rather than a guaranteed deadline. Read the complete Inspection Key Facts.
Important inspection information
The inspection is targeted to your agreed recheck list and does not automatically expand into another whole-home inspection. If the inspector notices an urgent safety, active-leakage, security or serious-service concern outside that list, CheckSure will raise it promptly; another unrelated item may be recorded as outside scope.
CheckSure considers agreed items that are present, accessible and safe to inspect or operate. The inspection is visual and non-invasive rather than a structural survey or specialist safety certification. Read the Terms of Business for the complete boundaries.
Re-snag Inspection questions
Can CheckSure use another inspector’s report?
Yes. Send the clearest complete copy and identify what you want checked. CheckSure will agree the selected items with you before confirmation.
Can I add items after receiving the proposal?
Yes—ask before accepting so the list, inspection time and price can be updated where necessary.
Can CheckSure inspect the whole home as well?
Yes, where a New-home Snagging or End-of-Defects Inspection is separately agreed. A whole-home inspection is not automatically included in Re-snag.
