Re-snag inspections
A targeted inspection built around the customer’s requirements. We review the earlier CheckSure inspection record or a snagging report prepared by another inspector, together with any notes and images you provide. We then prepare a Proposed Re-snag Item Schedule before booking, creating a bespoke, clearly agreed inspection scope for the items you want rechecked.
If CheckSure carried out the original inspection, a targeted Re-snag costs 67% of the current Snagging or End-of-Defects property price. If another inspector prepared the original report, the price is 80%, after we review that report and confirm the scope.
A Re-snag remains limited to the confirmed items and does not become a whole-home inspection. A wider whole-home inspection is charged at the full inspection price. Incorporating selected items from another inspector’s report adds £75 unless individually quoted.

How extensive is the inspection? As a general planning guide, a standard whole-home inspection normally takes around four to six hours. A targeted Re-snag Inspection may take less time, while a larger or more complex home may take longer. CheckSure will not rush an inspection to meet an arbitrary duration.
As an indicative guide, a completed post-completion inspection record may contain around 350–500 individual steps for a typical two-bedroom apartment and around 450–650 for a typical three-bedroom house. The actual total depends on the service, property, installed features, access and applicable checks. An inspection step is not necessarily a defect or photograph.

Booking, payment and changes
Booking and payment
Use the online booking form to submit your property details and any supporting documents. Nothing is payable merely because you enquire or submit a booking request. Payment becomes due after CheckSure sends the Booking Confirmation.
A £100 part-payment is due by 5:00pm two working days before the inspection and is credited against the inspection fee. The remaining balance is due on the inspection day and must clear before the report is issued.
Pay securely by card or supported wallet, bank transfer, or contactless payment to the inspector. Cash and cheques are not accepted.
An optional printed copy of the Full Report costs £10.
Date changes, cancellations and access
If a developer changes the inspection date, we transfer the booking without charge when notice is received by 5:00pm two working days beforehand.
Charges may apply if you cancel or rearrange at short notice, or if the inspection cannot proceed because access is unavailable.
