CHECKSURE — INDEPENDENT NEW-HOME INSPECTIONS
End-of-Defects Inspection
A fresh whole-home inspection before the applicable deadline.

An up-to-date record before your deadline
A CheckSure End-of-Defects Inspection is a fresh whole-home inspection near the applicable developer defects or aftercare deadline. It brings unresolved work, newly apparent issues and current concerns into one organised photographic record.
You can use the service whether or not you previously commissioned a snagging inspection. Earlier reports can provide useful context, but the inspection is not limited to rechecking an old list.

Who this inspection is for
This service is for owners approaching the applicable deadline, including those who never had an earlier inspection and those who want unresolved repairs and later concerns reviewed together.
Plan your inspection around your actual deadline
Check your completion documents, warranty policy and developer correspondence rather than relying on a generic anniversary. Allow enough time to arrange access, complete the inspection, receive the report and submit it through the correct route.
Access is normally arranged by the customer. Supply earlier reports, repair history, photographs, developer responses and current concerns where available so they can inform the fresh inspection.
What CheckSure typically inspects
The fresh whole-home approach considers the current visible and accessible condition of the property. Typical examples include:
- Internal finishes, decoration and visible workmanship.
- Doors, windows, ironmongery and joinery.
- Kitchens, bathrooms and fitted items.
- Accessible plumbing, sanitary fittings and visible services.
- Heating, ventilation and installed controls where available and safe to operate.
- Accessible external areas and installed features included in the service scope.
These examples are illustrative rather than exhaustive. What can be inspected depends on the property, agreed scope, access, utilities, installed features and safe conditions on the day.
Earlier records and current concerns
Earlier information helps the inspector understand the history, while the report records the current condition observed on the inspection day.
What you receive
You receive an organised reporting pack that brings the current findings into one clear record. It includes:
- A detailed Full Report with numbered observations, locations and photographs.
- An Action Required Report focused on the items that may need attention.
- A response schedule to help record the developer’s reply.
- Clear notes about anything that could not be inspected and recommendations where specialist assessment may be appropriate.
Reports are normally issued within 24 hours after the inspection has been completed and the undisputed balance has cleared. This is a service target rather than a guaranteed deadline. Read the complete Inspection Key Facts.
Important inspection information
CheckSure will inspect visible and accessible elements within the agreed scope that are present and safe to inspect or operate. The inspection is visual and non-invasive rather than a structural survey or specialist safety certification.
A standard whole-home inspection normally takes around four to six hours. The actual time depends on the property size and type, access, condition and any limitations found. Booking does not pause or extend a developer or warranty deadline. Read the Terms of Business for the complete boundaries.
