CHECKSURE — ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT
Accessibility Statement
Version 1.2 | Last updated: 11 September 2026
CheckSure is committed to making its website and online information accessible to as many people as reasonably possible, including people with disabilities and those using assistive technologies.
This statement applies to the CheckSure website at checksure.co.uk.
1. Our approach to accessibility
We aim to provide a website that is clear, straightforward and easy to use. As the website is developed and maintained, we aim to:
- Use clear headings and a logical page structure.
- Write content in plain English wherever possible.
- Provide meaningful link and button descriptions.
- Use colours with sufficient contrast.
- Ensure that important information is not communicated by colour alone.
- Add appropriate alternative text to informative images.
- Make the website usable with a keyboard wherever reasonably possible.
- Support enlargement and browser zoom without unnecessarily obscuring content.
- Use tables only where they help present information clearly.
- Avoid unnecessary animation, flashing content or distracting movement.
- Make forms understandable and provide clear labels and instructions.
We are working towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2, Level AA. These internationally recognised guidelines explain how to make digital content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.
2. Current accessibility status
CheckSure aims to make this website accessible.
Accessibility has been considered throughout the website’s design and content, and we continue to review its principal pages, features and common user journeys.
The website has not undergone a complete independent accessibility audit. We therefore do not currently claim that every page or feature fully conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
Our accessibility reviews include, where reasonably practicable:
- Keyboard-only navigation.
- Heading order and page structure.
- Link and button descriptions.
- Image alternative text.
- Colour contrast.
- Browser zoom and enlarged text.
- Desktop, tablet and mobile layouts.
- Forms, error messages and instructions.
- Pricing tables and other structured information.
Any material accessibility problems identified through this work will be prioritised according to their effect on users.
3. Accessibility limitations
We are continuing to review downloadable documents, complex tables, forms and links to third-party services. Some of these may not provide the same level of accessibility as the main website.
If you cannot access content or complete a task, please contact us. Tell us which page or document you were using and the format or assistance that would help. We will consider a practical alternative and use reports of genuine difficulty to prioritise improvements.
4. Alternative formats and assistance
If you need information from this website in a different or more accessible format, please contact CheckSure.
Depending on what you need, we may be able to provide information in an alternative format or explain it by telephone or email. Examples may include:
- A plain-text version.
- A larger-print document.
- Information supplied by email rather than through a webpage.
- A verbal explanation of website content.
- Assistance identifying the appropriate inspection service or booking information.
We will consider each request individually and aim to provide a reasonable and practical solution. We normally aim to acknowledge accessibility requests within five working days.
5. Contacting CheckSure about accessibility
If you experience difficulty using the website, need information in another format or would like to suggest an improvement, please contact us:
Email: admin@checksure.co.uk
WhatsApp: 07533 917477
Business hours: 8am–6pm, Monday to Friday
When contacting us, it will help if you explain:

- The problem you experienced.
- The device, browser or assistive technology you were using, if known.
- The format or assistance that would help you.
You do not need to disclose details about a disability unless you choose to do so and believe that they are relevant to your request.
6. Complaints and further assistance
We welcome the opportunity to resolve accessibility concerns directly. If you are dissatisfied with our response, you may use the CheckSure Complaints Procedure.
The Equality Advisory and Support Service may also be able to provide information and advice about rights under the Equality Act 2010.
Nothing in this statement limits any rights available under applicable equality or consumer-protection law.
7. Technical information
CheckSure aims to make this website accessible in line with generally recognised good practice and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
Accessibility can be affected by the combination of website content, browser, device, operating system and assistive technology being used. We cannot guarantee that the website will operate perfectly with every possible combination, but we will consider reasonable improvements when a genuine difficulty is reported.
8. Ongoing review
We review this statement and the accessibility of the website after significant changes, when a material problem is reported and at least annually. The version number and date at the top of this page will be updated whenever the statement is materially revised.
