Rules for sharing, quoting and reusing material from this website

1. About this policy

This policy explains how content published on https://checksure.co.uk may be accessed, shared, quoted and reused. It applies to the website and to downloadable material made available through it, unless a different notice is displayed with particular material.

This policy does not govern a customer’s use of an inspection reporting pack supplied under a service contract. The applicable Terms of Business govern retention, copying and sharing of the Full Report, Action Required Report and any Developer Response Schedule.

By accessing or using the website, you acknowledge that its content may be protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. Nothing in this policy transfers ownership of those rights to a website visitor or user.

2. Copyright ownership

Unless otherwise stated, copyright in the original content published on this website is owned by CheckSure Ltd. This includes original articles, guides, written explanations, the selection and arrangement of material, checklists, tables, diagrams, illustrations and downloadable documents.

Copyright protects the original expression, selection and arrangement of material. It does not give CheckSure Ltd ownership of legislation, regulations, publicly available facts, technical principles, third-party standards or general ideas.

The CheckSure name, logo and visual identity may also be protected by trade mark and other intellectual property rights. Nothing in this policy grants permission to use them.

3. What you may do without asking permission

Subject to applicable law and the conditions below, you may:

Changing a title, rearranging paragraphs, replacing individual words or altering the formatting does not necessarily create an independent work. Permission may still be required where the whole or a substantial part of the original expression, selection or arrangement has been reproduced.

5. Social-media sharing

You are welcome to share an article title, a link to the original article and a brief description through social media. You must not post the complete article, reproduce a substantial extract, or publish a sequence of screenshots or images that enables readers to consume most of the article without visiting the original source, unless you have written permission or the use is otherwise permitted by law.
