CHECKSURE — WEBSITE TERMS

Website Terms

Version 1.2 | Last updated: 11 September 2026

These Website Terms explain the rules that apply when you visit checksure.co.uk and use its content. Please read them before using the website.

These terms relate to use of the website. If you request or purchase an inspection service, the separate CheckSure Terms of Business, quotation, booking confirmation and applicable service scope will govern that service.

1. About CheckSure

This website is operated by CheckSure Ltd, trading as CheckSure. CheckSure Ltd is registered in England and Wales under company number 17393263. Its registered office is 62 The Street, Rustington, West Sussex BN16 3NR.

In these Website Terms, “CheckSure”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean CheckSure Ltd, trading as CheckSure.

Contact email: admin@checksure.co.uk

Website: checksure.co.uk

2. Acceptance of these terms

By using this website, you confirm that you accept these Website Terms and agree to comply with them.

If you do not agree to these terms, you should not use the website.

You are also responsible for ensuring that anyone who accesses the website through your internet connection is aware of these terms and complies with them.

3. Other policies that apply

The following documents also apply to your use of this website:

Privacy Notice – explains how personal information is collected and used.

Cookie Policy – explains the cookies and similar technologies used by the website.

Content Use and Copyright Policy – explains how website content may and may not be reproduced.

Accessibility Statement – explains our approach to making the website accessible.

Terms of Business – applies when you request or purchase an inspection service.

Complaints Procedure – explains how service-related complaints are handled.

4. General information only

The website and Homeowner Knowledge Base provide general information about new homes, construction, inspections, defects, maintenance, warranties and related subjects.

The information is intended to help homeowners understand common issues and ask informed questions. It does not constitute legal, structural, engineering, surveying, financial, insurance or other specialist professional advice.

Website content cannot assess the construction, workmanship, condition, specification or circumstances of an individual home. Two apparently similar properties may contain different materials, details, defects or contractual arrangements.

You should obtain appropriate professional advice where a decision depends on the particular circumstances of your home.

5. No substitute for an inspection

Reading this website or communicating with CheckSure does not constitute an inspection of your property.

Website information must not be treated as confirmation that an item is satisfactory, defective, compliant or covered by a developer or warranty provider.

An inspection is subject to an agreed scope and is based on the elements that are visible, accessible and safely testable at the time. The applicable Terms of Business and service documentation explain the inspection’s scope and limitations.

6. Accuracy and currency of information

CheckSure takes reasonable care when preparing and reviewing website content. However, we do not guarantee that every page will always be complete, error-free or current.

Building Regulations, technical standards, warranty requirements, Codes, manufacturer guidance and industry practices may change. Requirements can also vary according to location, construction date, warranty provider, developer, approved design and contractual terms.

Publication or review dates may be shown on individual articles. Where current requirements are important, readers should check the latest official guidance or obtain appropriate professional advice.

We may correct, update, withdraw or replace website content without notice.

7. Website availability

We aim to keep the website available and operating properly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

We may suspend, withdraw, restrict or change any part of the website for maintenance, security, operational or other reasonable purposes.

We will try to give reasonable notice of significant interruptions where practicable.

8. Permitted use

You may use this website for lawful personal and non-commercial purposes.

You may:

Read and navigate the website.

Print or save a reasonable number of pages for your own personal reference.

Share links to publicly available pages.

Quote brief extracts where permitted by law and accompanied by clear acknowledgement of CheckSure as the source.

Any wider reproduction or commercial use is governed by the Content Use and Copyright Policy and may require written permission.

9. Prohibited use

You must not:

Use the website unlawfully, fraudulently or in a way that may cause harm.

Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, its server, database or connected systems.

Introduce viruses, malicious code or other harmful material.

Interfere with the website’s security, availability or proper operation.

Use automated systems to scrape, harvest, reproduce or republish substantial amounts of content without written permission.

Remove copyright notices, branding, source acknowledgements or other rights information.

Present CheckSure content in a misleading context.

Imply that CheckSure endorses another person, business, service or publication where no such endorsement exists.

Reproduce website content to create a competing publication, website, social-media resource, training product or commercial service without permission.

10. Intellectual property rights

Unless stated otherwise, CheckSure owns or is licensed to use the intellectual property rights in the website’s original text, structure, branding, illustrations, diagrams, graphics and other content.

Copyright protects original expression, selection, arrangement and presentation. It does not prevent others from independently describing facts, standards, laws or general construction principles in their own words.

You must not reproduce, adapt, distribute, sell, license or commercially exploit protected website content except where permitted by law or authorised in writing.

Full information is provided in the Content Use and Copyright Policy.

11. Linking to this website

You may link to a publicly accessible page provided that you do so fairly and legally and do not damage or take unfair advantage of CheckSure’s reputation.

A link must not suggest an association, approval or endorsement where none exists.

You must not frame this website within another website or display its content in a way that obscures its source.

We may withdraw linking permission where a link is misleading, unlawful or otherwise harmful.

12. Links to other websites

This website may contain links to government publications, industry bodies, warranty providers, developers, manufacturers and other third-party websites.

These links are supplied for information and convenience. They do not necessarily represent an endorsement of the organisation, its services or all the content on its website.

CheckSure does not control third-party websites and is not responsible for their availability, accuracy, security, content or privacy practices. You should review the applicable terms and privacy information when visiting another website.

13. References to external organisations

References to the New Homes Quality Board, NHBC, LABC Warranty, Premier Guarantee, developers, regulators or other external organisations are included to explain requirements or guidance that may apply to a new home.

CheckSure is an independent inspection business. Unless expressly stated otherwise, it is not affiliated with or endorsed by those organisations.

Their names, logos, publications and other intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners.

14. Information submitted through the website

You must ensure that information you submit through an enquiry form, email or other website facility is accurate to the best of your knowledge and is not unlawful, misleading or harmful.

Do not submit payment-card details, identity documents, passwords or unnecessary sensitive information through ordinary email, website messages or WhatsApp.

Information submitted through the website will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Notice.

Submitting an enquiry does not create a confirmed booking or service contract. A service contract is formed only when CheckSure sends the Booking Confirmation. The contract documents are the Booking Proposal incorporated into that confirmation, the Booking Confirmation, the identified Terms of Business and Customer Scope and Important Limitations (CIS-02), any applicable statutory cancellation information and any later written variation.

15. Website security

We take reasonable steps to operate the website securely, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be free from bugs, viruses or other harmful material.

You are responsible for using appropriate security software and protecting your own devices, accounts and information.

You must not misuse the website by knowingly introducing malicious or technologically harmful material.

16. Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these Website Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Subject to those protections, CheckSure is not responsible for loss arising solely from:

Reliance on general website information without obtaining advice appropriate to the individual circumstances.

The unavailability or interruption of the website.

Content or services supplied by third-party websites.

Use of the website for business or commercial purposes for which it was not intended.

These Website Terms do not replace or alter any liability provisions contained in the Terms of Business for a purchased inspection service.

17. Privacy and cookies

Personal information collected through this website is handled as described in the Privacy Notice.

The Cookie Policy explains the cookies and related technologies used by the website and whether consent is required.

You should review both documents before submitting personal information through the website.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these Website Terms to reflect changes to the website, our services, technology, business arrangements or applicable law.

The latest version will be published on this page with an updated review date. Your continued use of the website after a revision will be subject to the terms displayed at that time.

Changes to these Website Terms will not retrospectively alter a service contract already formed under the Terms of Business unless the parties lawfully agree otherwise.

19. Governing law and disputes

These Website Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you retain any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings in the courts available to you under applicable law.

Before commencing formal proceedings, we encourage you to contact CheckSure so that the matter can be considered and, where possible, resolved.
